We are doing a Retreat in March for our students from 7th to 12th grade.  As I think about some of the themes for our three sessions together I look at the dynamics of our group and their friends.  How many of us growing up had a healthy relationship with a member of the opposite sex?  I am not talking about a dating relationship but a friendship.  For GWL I want to cover some topics that will help us understand the opposite sex better.  Julie and I have read "For young men only" and "For young women only" along with the ones for the adults and it has helped us better understand each other to make our marriage better and along with that our relationship as a man and a woman.  

Sessions

During the first two sessions I want to deal with simply understanding the opposite sex better.  I know this is next to impossible but maybe there are some misconceptions about the opposite sex that make relationships difficult.  For the first two sessions we are going to take a close look at these misconceptions and how we can deal with them so that we can have better relationships with people.  The last session we will do will be a talk on a better relationship with Jesus.  For our relationships to be right with each other our relationship with Jesus needs to be right.  These are my beginning thoughts more to come soon.  Feel free to comment or give suggestions.
