Getting Ready

I have been reading from Acts the past couple of weeks.  While reading I have been trying looking at the many ways in which God has moved in the Church's life and in the lives of the Apostles.  Have you ever wondered if God would move in the same way He moved when His church was getting started.  To see 3,000 people saved in one day how awesome would that be.  I have been thinking about somethings lately.  My life, my marriage, our adoption, the Student Ministry. all the stuff that is takes up time in my life and then I read how God provided for the Apostles in amazing ways and just at the right time.  I noticed that you don't read about Paul questioning whether God was going to do something or maybe I missed that, He just trusted God for who He is and that was good enough for Paul to continue to follow Him.  You don't see Stephen question whether God was going to save him from the pain of being stoned to death you just see Stephen trust God for his future.  My question is do I have that faith and trust in God to do the same for me or do I constantly question His abilities and love for me and my family.  The problem is I don't like most people like to wait for God, but the reality is I just need to trust Him, trust Him for His plan for my life.  My prayer is to see God move in a mighty way could it be that if I continue to question Him I show a lack of trust in Him and that is the thing blocking it or am I to busy looking at the wrong thing.  Looking at my lack of trust instead of His greatness and faithfulness.  Lord may I not see you through my blurred vision of who you are but see you the way you deserve to be seen and trust you the way you deserve to be trusted!
